The Polestar 3 comes standard with dual electric motors that produce 489 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque. Polestar estimates that with all-wheel drive, it will go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The optional Performance Pack increases outputs to 517 horsepower and 671 pound-feet, reducing the 0-60 time to 4.6 seconds. Regardless of the option you choose, the maximum speed is 130 mph.
The Polestar 3 has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. That isn’t great for a mid-size SUV, but it’s adequate for an EV.
To increase economy, the rear electric motor can be decoupled, allowing the SUV to operate solely on the front motor. In the back, there is an electric Torque Vectoring Dual Clutch function, which should improve the car’s handling. A precise 50:50 weight distribution also helps, and the adaptable, self-leveling dual-chamber air suspension should ensure a smooth ride.
With the optional Performance Pack, the Polestar 3 gains not only additional power, but also a specially tuned air suspension and gripping Pirelli P-Zero tires.
Range, Charging, and Battery Life
Given its weight, it is not surprising that the Polestar 3 requires a hefty battery. The 111-kilowatt-hour (107 kWh useable) lithium-ion battery boasts a range of 300 miles, however this decreases to roughly 270 with the Performance pack. The official EPA figures and MPGe ratings have not yet been disclosed.

2025 Polestar 3 Interior
We might expect the 2025 Polestar 3 to have a new design. Passengers and drivers’ comfort will be prioritized. The cargo capacity behind the second row of the Polestar 3 is 17.1 cubic feet, with an additional 3.2 cubic feet of underfloor storage. That is below average for an SUV of this size, but we have seen similar vehicles with smaller-than-expected trunks, such as the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, which can be attributed to the requirement to accommodate a rear electric engine. With the second row folded, the Polestar offers around 50 cubic feet of room. If necessary, you can carry another 220 or so pounds of items onto the roof.
