The New 2025 Chevy Traverse Release Date, Price, and Specs

The New 2025 Chevy Traverse Release Date, Price, and Specs.

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is a midsize crossover SUV. Which is produced by Chevrolet Motors. It will also be noted for its lavish interior design. And the next Chevrolet Traverse will be a major hit among families. It can comfortably accommodate seven to eight travellers. This model will build on its heritage of accommodating families and travellers alike, with a wide three-row interior intended for comfort and functionality.

The Chevrolet Traverse mid-size SUV was a new nameplate in 2009, succeeding the original body-on-frame Chevy Trailblazer. The newcomer was more car-like thanks to unibody construction, a philosophy that carried over to the second-generation automobile, which debuted on the C1XX platform used by other GM models such as the Cadillac XT6 and GMC Acadia. It’s a large three-row mid-sizer with a powerful 310-hp V6 engine, but this market segment is tough to break, with accomplished rivals like the Kia Telluride and brand-new Mazda CX-90, as well as more accomplished off-road SUVs like the Ford Bronco.

It scores well in terms of comfort and space, and the NHTSA’s safety rating of the Chevrolet Traverse is also positive, so it should be a formidable contender in its class. However, its competitors have outperformed it in recent years, and it now feels somewhat mediocre. After being facelifted and updated last year, the 2025 Traverse has minimal modifications, so does it grab your imagination, or should you go elsewhere?

The new Chevy Traverse will push the envelope with cutting-edge technologies that will provide a connected and pleasant driving experience. From contemporary entertainment systems to cutting-edge safety features, the 2025 Traverse will satisfy the needs of a modern lifestyle. Smartphone integration, easy controls, and a suite of driver-assistance systems will put your safety and convenience first on the road. Furthermore, it promises a smooth and responsive ride, making every drive an entertaining experience.

The New 2025 Chevy Traverse Release Date, Price, and Specs

The forthcoming 2025 Chevy Traverse, with its bold look, innovative features, and steadfast commitment to reliability, will demonstrate Chevrolet’s commitment to create vehicles that not only meet but exceed today’s drivers’ expectations. Prepare to reinvent the driving experience with the unrivalled beauty and maximum capability of the upcoming Chevrolet Traverse.

2025 Chevrolet Traverse Engine and Performance

All Traverse versions are powered by the same 3.6-liter V6 engine without forced induction. This engine, which produces 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, sends power to the front wheels by default, with all-wheel drive available on all model levels. The V6 Traverse’s turn of speed will wow you on a test drive, but it never truly thrills as a driving experience. Independent tests put the 0-60 mph sprint at 6.5 to 6.8 seconds, about a second faster than the Kia Telluride, and the Korean has an even larger 3.8-liter V6. The Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds with its optional trailering kit, giving it another competitive edge in this market.

The Traverse’s performance startled us the most, in a positive sense. The snappy naturally aspirated V6 is a good decision for this truck; Chevy could have easily underpowered it with a NA four-cylinder, especially on the lowest model. But, no, every Traverse trim gets the power it need. Our RS tester’s standard AWD came in handy during a snowy week in Colorado, and the crossover performed admirably as it pushed its way out of snow ploughed to the side of the road. The road was a little slick, but the Traverse’s all-season tyres handled it well.

Although not the most advanced engine in its class, the 3.6-liter V6 produces 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Like most normally aspirated engines, power is delivered in a smooth and linear manner. This makes the Traverse a delight to drive around town and on the highway, where it can cruise at the maximum permissible speed without incident.

The V6 is paired with a nine-speed automated gearbox. We had no major issues about this gearbox, since changes were smooth and quick enough for a reasonably substantial mid-size crossover like this. The automated start/stop technology was smooth and barely detectable, which we can’t say about every new vehicle, including a handful that cost much more.

2025 Chevy Traverse Redesign

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse will be part of the fourth generation. Which was just announced as the 2024 model year, with a completely new look and features. And speaking of the 2025 model year, as you are aware, the 2024 Chevy Traverse is completely new. As a result, no significant revisions are expected for the 2025 model year. The 2025 Traverse will have a similar design to the previous model.

However, we can expect some new features to be added, as well as minor changes, for the 2025 model year, but the next Chevy Traverse has not yet been confirmed by the company, so we cannot provide you with any additional information. However, we can assure you that this new model year will also be available with great features and design, just like the 2024 model year. Chevrolet Motors will share any new information about the 2025 Traverse. Then, we’ll update this article.

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is basically unchanged from last year’s model. This year, all grades above the base LS receive a wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and two new paint colours are available: Sterling Grey Metallic for free and Radiant Red Tintcoat for an additional fee. And that’s it. The base price for the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is $34,520.

2025 Traverse Exterior

Last year’s revisions to the headlights, grille, taillights, and wheel designs improved the appearance of the three-row Chevy Traverse. It is still a conservatively fashioned vehicle, but nothing is overdone, giving it a premium feel. The base model features 18-inch alloy wheels, LED external lighting (including daytime running lights), and a manual liftgate. On the opposite end of the range, the High Country features a rear camera mirror washer, a hands-free power programmed liftgate, and a two-panel power sunroof. Upper trims come standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, while lower trims get them as an option.

Our Cherry Red Tintcoat Traverse RS AWD tester was equipped with 20-inch dark aluminium wheels, a power liftgate, black roof rails, and power-folding heated outside mirrors. It’s an appealing crossover that doesn’t scream “minivan” in any way. The slightly sportier-looking RS trim does its best to seem cool, as the Cherry Red colour and black wheels drew a few stares. But, in general, Chevy kept it safe with the exterior design, which was unquestionably the right decision for this class.

The wheelbase measures 120.9 inches. Although it is not an off-roader, its 7.51 inches of ground clearance allows it to handle gravel roads and mall curbs with ease.

The LS with front-wheel drive has a base curb weight of 4,710 pounds, but all-wheel drive versions are naturally higher, weighing 4,956 pounds.

2025 Chevrolet Traverse Interior

As you are aware, the previous model of the Chevy Traverse was relatively new, therefore we may expect the 2025 model year to have the same interior design as the 2024 Chevy Traverse. However, it may incorporate many more modern features and safety measures than the preceding model.

The 2025 Chevy Traverse will have a well-designed and roomy cabin, similar to the previous generation, that can provide both comfort and functionality. It can seat eight people comfortably across three rows, making it an excellent choice for families or individuals who frequently carpool, and the second-row captain’s seats add to the sense of space. The interiors will include a combination of soft-touch surfaces and durable materials, resulting in a smart and premium environment. Leather upholstery in higher trim levels can provide a sense of luxury. It will be designed to be quiet and comfortable to drive, with acoustic glass and soundproof materials helping to achieve this.

The upcoming Chevrolet Traverse will include an adaptable infotainment system. This will allow for a comfortable touchscreen experience. Will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing for smartphone interaction. There will also be many USB outlets around the cabin, allowing everyone to keep their devices charged. The accessible 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot will improve overall connectivity for all passengers. And we hope the new Traverse does not compromise cargo space. Folding the second and third rows creates a level loading floor, increasing cargo capacity.

2025 Chevy Traverse Features

For the most part, the Chevrolet Traverse’s cabin performs as expected for customers in this market. There’s plenty of room, various storage containers, and straightforward ergonomics that let you to get on with the crucial task of carrying your family without bother. Some materials aren’t as soft to the touch as they should be, particularly on the higher trims, but this doesn’t detract from the practicality of the inside. The base model comes with a six-way manual driver’s seat, a 3.5-inch driver display, and tri-zone climate control, but there are enough trims to add all of the features you want, such as powered front seats, wireless phone charging, and parking sensors.

The RS we drove included optional second-row captain’s chairs, which allowed for a maximum seating capacity of seven people. A second-row bench is standard. We also favoured the Jet Black/Spice Red colour combo. Power outlets and USB connections are strategically placed around the cabin, making it easy for passengers to charge their personal devices.

Seating and Interior Spaces

Our Traverse RS came with optional second-row captain’s chairs for a maximum of seven seats, but a second-row bench is available on various trim levels, increasing the overall seating capacity to eight. All trims include a 60/40 split-folding rear bench. The eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar is usually supportive, and we quickly found a comfortable position with good rearward sight. Both the driver and front passenger seats were heated, which was a much-appreciated amenity in late January. The High Country comes standard with the Dual SkyScape sunroof, while the LT and Premier trims have it as an option.

Moving about the cabin is simple because to the remarkably big interior volume – 157.1 cubic feet. The second and third rows of seats can be adjusted using traditional handles and belts, but electronic adjustment would bring the Traverse up to date. Aside from that gaffe, space reigns supreme, with 38.4 inches of legroom in the second row and 33.5 in the third. The headroom is also generous, with a minimum of 38.2 inches in the back seats. Accessing those is made easier with the second-row captain’s chairs, and aside from the human labour necessary, they can comfortably accommodate smaller adults.

Conclusion: Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good SUV?

The Chevrolet Traverse provides strong performance, a pleasant driving experience, and an efficient and refined powertrain, but there is much of competition in this class, and this generally competent record is insufficient to challenge the class leaders. It finishes far down the pecking order, owing to the quality of the competitors more than any serious flaw on its part. Rivals are aggressively priced, so the Chevy doesn’t have much of a value advantage, and its reputation is further harmed by a pretty low-rent interior with too many cheap plastics.

It lacks the off-road capability of the Bronco or Cherokee L, and the finishes aren’t as sumptuous as those of the Palisade or Telluride, so customers may be drawn away by these competitors’ strengths. This would be a shame, because the Chevy has a solid all-around list of abilities and is a perfectly reasonable – if unexciting – option.
