Since we only spent time with the car on a smooth race track, we can’t claim that these tuning adjustments are immediately obvious. On the roll balancing front, the Supra still has a lot of body roll around bends, indicating that Toyota intended the car to be a grand tourer rather than a track weapon.
A new Hairpin+ mode on all 3.0 grades increases wheel spin on tight hairpins and uphill gradients, enhancing the Supra’s tail-happy attitude. There are also some changes to the power steering, which still feels lightweight but is significantly more responsive than the previous model.
Stratosphere Blue is a new paint option that looks great in person, and the 19-inch forged aluminum wheels available on MT variants are reminiscent of a Japanese kunai knife.
